Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 26, 2026
Pawverse ("we", "us") is a platform for pet owners, veterinary clinics, shelters and pet stores. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the Pawverse app or website, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Information you give us
- Account: your name, email address, and password (or your Google account if you sign in with Google). Optionally a phone number and profile photo.
- Pets: pet profiles (name, species, breed, age or date of birth, weight, photos, allergies, microchip number) and health records you add.
- Appointments: the clinic, pet, date and reason when you request a vet appointment.
- Orders: your delivery name, phone number, city and address when you place a cash-on-delivery order.
- Adoption applications: the contact details and home information you submit to a shelter.
- Community: posts, comments, likes, follows, reports and blocks.
- Organizations: if you register a clinic, shelter or store, its name and contact details, and the records your staff create in Pawverse.
Information collected automatically
We use Firebase Authentication to keep you signed in, which stores an authentication token on your device. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and troubleshooting. We do not use advertising, advertising identifiers, or third-party tracking.
How we use information
- To provide the features you use: pet profiles, health records, appointments, orders, adoptions and the community.
- To share information with an organization when you choose to: a clinic you book with or approve access for, a shelter you apply to, or a store you order from.
- To keep Pawverse safe: reviewing reports, removing content that breaks our Terms, and preventing abuse.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for advertising.
Who can see your information
- Public: basic pet profiles (name, species, breed, photo, status), community posts and comments, and organization listings.
- Other signed-in users: your display name, photo, followers and following.
- Clinics: your pets' records only after you approve the clinic's access request; your appointment details when you book with them.
- Shelters and stores: the application or order details you send them.
- Pawverse administrators: for moderation, support and security.
Service providers
We rely on Google Firebase (authentication and database), Cloudinary (image storage) and our web hosting provider to run Pawverse. They process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms. Data may be stored on servers outside your country.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access to data is restricted by server-side security rules so that users and organizations can only read and change what they are allowed to.
Retention and deletion
We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account in the app. This permanently deletes your profile, your pets and the health records you added, and your community posts. See Delete your account for details and how to request deletion without the app. Records a clinic created about a visit, and orders or applications you sent to an organization, may be kept by that organization for its own records.
Children
Pawverse is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Your choices
You can view and edit your profile and pets in the app, approve or decline clinic access requests, block other users, and delete your account. For any other request, contact us at pawversepk@gmail.com.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
